Community Garden Edibles Competition

Launched in 2015, the Community Garden Edibles Competition (CGEC) 2025 recognises the abilities of our local gardeners and showcases their excellent harvests, including uncommon and unique edibles.

Participants, be it an individual or together as a gardening group, can choose from nine diverse 'Best Edibles' categories plus an Open Category to send in their harvest, showcasing the remarkable variety of fruits and vegetables that can flourish in our urban environment. Winning entries will be featured at our Winners' Showcase at HortFest 2025!
