Grow and Share initiative

How to participate?

Organise at least one gardening-related community event in or around your community garden.

Eligibility

To participate, your group must be registered in the Community In Bloom (CIB) programme, and should be supported by a managing group. The list of managing groups includes:

• Residents’ Networks (RNs) and Residents’ Committees (RCs),

• Neighbourhood Committees (NCs) and Condominium MCSTs,

• Organisations, including but not limited to other government agencies, private companies, places of worship, healthcare facilities or

• Educational institutions, including but not limited to preschools, primary schools, secondary schools and tertiary institutions

Registration for the CIB programme is free! Reach out to us if you have not registered.

Event criteria

1. Time period

   • You may submit details of event(s) that take place between 1 January and 31 December 2026.

2. Community impact

   • Planning team: A minimum of 5 members, including at least 1 garden leader.

   • Participant outreach: The event should cater for minimally 15 attendees

3. Garden event category

   • Your event should fall under one of the 6 garden event categories listed:

   • Educational

   • Cultural celebration

   • Health & wellness

   • Sustainability

   • Community sharing

   • Artistry

Timeline

Step 1: Grow and Share 2026 Registration

Ready to bring your community together through gardening? Join us by organising at least 1 gardening-related event for your community this year! Be among the first 300 groups to participate and receive both a Grow and Share (G&S) starter pack and appreciation pack.

i. Spread the word

If your event is open to the public, we would love to help you reach more people! We can feature your event information on our Grow and Share events page to boost visibility and encourage community participation.

ii. Receive your G&S starter pack

To support you in your G&S events, NParks will be giving out a G&S starter pack. Please indicate interest for the G&S starter pack through the registration form. Once your event details have been confirmed by NParks, the CIB team will reach out with information on how you can collect the G&S starter pack.

Step 2: Conduct your event

Time to bring your gardening event to life! Remember to capture those special moments with plenty of photographs.

Step 3: Submit your event entries

After the event, submit a post-event form with 2 photographs and event details by 11 January 2027. The post-event form link will be sent to garden groups who have completed a G&S event.

Eligible gardening groups which have completed the above will receive a G&S appreciation pack and an e-certificate. The G&S appreciation pack will be delivered in three batches:

• Batch 1 (for post-event forms submitted before 18 May 2026): receive by May 2026

• Batch 2 (for post-event forms submitted by 2 November 2026): receive by November 2026

• Batch 3 (for post-event forms submitted after 2 November 2026): receive by January 2027

About G&S Initiative

The G&S initiative was launched in 2025 to celebrate two decades of CIB by sharing the joy of gardening with the wider community. Under this initiative, community gardening groups across Singapore, from housing estates, schools and organisations, are encouraged to organise wide-ranging gardening-related activities.

   • Foster teamwork among gardeners through community initiatives, and encourage more people to garden together

2. SHARE gardens and harvests

   • Create vibrant community gardens where people can come together to share gardening experiences and enjoy the harvests

3. CULTIVATE knowledge and skills

   • Transform our gardens into living classrooms and exchange horticultural knowledge
